This National Report is the summary of focus groups conducted by Sign for Changemaking members to identify, in their national context, the opportunities, and barriers within the existing educational programs to support the personal development, confidence, innovation and changemaking potential of deaf people.
E-book “Deaf Change Makers”
15 deaf role models from Europe, as well as around the world, who pursued and achieved their dreams. 15 exciting stories to inspire deaf young people to become the change. An e-book that showcases and highlights the potential of deaf young people; the e-book is available for download in 6 languages: English, German, Greek, Lithuanian, Italian and Spanish.
The SIE Curriculum for Deaf Students
The Social Innovation Education Curriculum for Deaf Students aims to guide teachers and other educators to familiarise with Social Innovation and cultivate students’ changemaking potential. The curriculum contains high quality training material in the form of theory, guidelines and activities.
The Sign For Change Teacher Training
In the framework of the Sign for Change project, an innovative training platform was developed for teachers and others involved in deaf education, focusing on the use of Social Innovation Education (SIE) methods and sign language for empowering deaf children.
The SIE Video Library
One of the project’s objectives is to adapt and apply the Social Innovation Education (SIE) methodology in the education of Deaf children. This section hosts the videos produced during Social Innovation Education activities in schools.
